So does that mean if we don't "win it all" that it's the proper amount of respect?

He can say what he wants. That's his prerogative. I hope they keep doubting LSU because it seems to be fueling this team.

Beat Miami? Miami overrated.
Beat AU? Au overrated.
Beat UGA? UGA overrated.
Beat MSU? MSU overrated.
Beat Bama? Bama is still the better team. "Eye test."
Beat A&M? A&M overrated.
Beat UGA/UF/Kentucky? SEC East weak this year.

That's the narrative for the year for LSU because people don't respect CEO. His OM days are a huge albatross around his neck and frick ups like Troy keep getting brought up, but being 3-1 against top 10 teams this year gets discredited.

ETA: 3-1 against ranked teams. 3-0 vs top 10.

Honestly, unless Bama suffers a few key injuries, I don’t think anyone is beating them this year. And the only people that are saying ND, UT or UM have a chance are homers.

Let’s be real... This is the truth. Both teams were preseason top 10, now they’re not even in the top 25.

Lots of people picked us to have a bad year. They were wrong. So expect people to try and give excuses for why we're doing so good. None of it matters as their opinions and expectations mean shite. I said this weeks ago. Watch ESPN for the games. The only content that matters is what happens on the field. Stop watching these idiots.

Miami could still work their way back into top 15.

But my point is, 5 minutes after we beat MIA, overrated started being thrown around. 5 minutes after we beat AU, the same thing happened. Now, were seeing it again with UGA.

I'm cool if they don't want to give LSU credit. Like I said, the disrespect seems to fuel this team.

Saw that last night - Joey Galloway and Jesse Palmer were totally disrespecting what LSU has done so far and heaping all the praise on Texas. Surprisingly, the only person defending LSU was David Pollack.

Have you looked at our schedule vs. theirs?

I don't believe it. Dude hates LSU since the 2003 LSU/UGA game.

Not surprising at all. As a UGA alum, I'm sure he follows them much more closely. He knows they're legit and that means LSU is legit. Also pumping up LSU makes that loss look better. It serves you best as a fan of your own team if you pump up the teams that beat you in these situations.

thats because out of the teams you named, we're the only team that 100% has to play Bama - and until someone actually beats Bama then the media will discount all teams who have to play them.

To be fair though, our schedule is tougher than all of those by quite a large margin. And we need to acknowledge the elephant in the room: until LSU can best Bama, we're never going to be favored to win it all. That's the simple (and painful) truth.

I actually think they all three were overrated coming into this season. GA is probably a borderline top 10 team this year, Miami and Aub top 15-20ish. It just took a little longer for GA to play someone with a pulse. I’ve watched them a few times before we played them, and they didn’t look good at all. I sat there thinking, are they playing down to their competition? Am I just missing something? That said, watching LSU dominate them this past Saturday was the most fun I’ve had watching a game in years. I hated the O hire, and I’m still not sure if he’s the guy to get us back into CFP contention consistently, but I do have to say that this has been a very fun season overall. After this weekend, having watched a lot of the teams ranked in the top 10 this year, I have to say that LSU is definitely one of the 10 best teams. I was very skeptical that E could develop a good enough scheme to compete in the SEC, but this O has gotten better by the week.

And, let's be honest: if we beat Bama at home, and we go on to win the SECCG, we're in the CFP for sure, but I'd also bet money an 11-1 Bama is in, too. So LSU is in a position to need to beat Bama twice this year.

And may the odds be ever in our favor.
