re: What is your favorite Non-SEC Stadium/Trip

For a regular season away game , I will put Notre Dame at the top of my list. I was at the 1998 game. Kevin Faulk had a career day but we lost in a shootout. The people were extremely nice and it was a great trip other than the outcome of the game. We were parting with Paul Hornung in a nightclub the night before the game.

Norman is cool on game day. Picture a less trashy version of Tuscaloosa. Stillwater is pretty fun if it’s a big game. I’ve also heard Lubbock is wild on game days especially if they’re playing UT

My stadium experience is limited.

I went to Tech. Traffic is basically non-existent. The band plays Neck before the game. Tech is basically the polar opposite of LSU, which would be refreshing: almost all air ball on offense, lol what's a defense (although defense does have its moments).

There are some decent places to eat in Ruston, and you won't have obnoxious jackasses watching the game obviously. And I think they're even laxing up their beer rules for tailgating, which is nice for such an old-school, fire-and-brimstone, hokey Baptist area. Also, the games are fun, haters be darned. There's good energy in the place, especially with a crowd there for an important game.

Oh, and there's easy parking, and the campus is pretty and not too big to be an inconvenience to walk around.

Provo seems awesome. I really was hoping the LSU BYU game that was pushed out of Houston would have moved up there. It would have been a very unique away game. We would’ve won 30-0 regardless of where they played.

Seeing a game in Madison, Wisconsin is a blast (of cold air). A few years ago I went to a Northwestern-UW game where it snowed 7 inches the night before. It was really cold that day and like an idiot I didn't bring anything to sit on the icy benches. Couldn't feel my bum for hours. But they had cheese curds and hot chocolate to make it bearable at least.

Best part was seeing the student section throw snowballs at their own cheerleaders which forced them over to the other side of the stadium. And when UW lost the game on a horrible call by the ref, everyone else was chucking snowballs at the refs and celebrating Northwestern players.

For tradition the top two I ever did were ND (went to several and all great)
Texas a&m (went before SEC) has awesome traditions
Washington was great atmosphere until got in stadium. Great view of water and some sound trapped by overhang but seemed sterile inside. Outside was beautiful and fun.

1. Lambeau, even though we lost.
2. Autzen Stadium, University of Oregon. Saw them beat the hell out of Nevada. They allow you to leave the stadium during the game and grab a beer at the adjacent training facility.
3. Husky Stadium, UW. Saw them play Colorado in the Rick Neuheisel Bowl. Beautiful campus and stadium.
4. Sanford Stadium, UGA. Saw LSU lose there and saw UGA beat Bama in a thriller. Beautiful women, campus, and college town. What's not to like.
5. Army-Navy, various locations. I saw the game in Philly and in Baltimore. The game itself deserves a #1 spot but both times I went it was cold as hell. If I had to choose I would see it in Baltimore as you're close to Fells Point and the Inner Harbor.

Have been to a lot of stadiums listed. I enjoyed Autzen a lot, mostly due to its smaller size and sight lines. I'm over the mega stadiums and what they encompass. Went with a friend who is a UT alum, summited Mt St Helen, went wine area south of Portland, beer scene, parking was great with short bus ride to stadium, and the cheerleaders....woooo. Of course UT got embarrassed that game, speed differential was eye opening.
