Maybe I look like a white supremacist?

I have a shaved head,and a really cool beard..
I delivered on Thursday,to a little plant in Marion,Alabama. I probably saw 100 employees,not a 1 was white.
Now,I don't expect anyone to roll out a red carpet for me,but I am pretty damn friendly,and usually,I can say something to somebody,that will get a laugh,or at least a smile.
Not on Thursday,in Marion,Alabama.
Not 1 person would look at me,or speak to me,until I backed my truck into a loading dock,and took my delivery paperwork inside.
At that time, a woman of about 30,says to me,very rudely " I didn't tell you to back into that dock"
I said " I don't work for you"
She said" Do you want your truck unloaded ?"
I said, "Do you need this salt ?"( it was Morton Salt,42,000 Pounds of it).
If you don't want it, I can drive over to Birmingham,probably sell all of it pretty quick at 5lbs.for a dollar,and get $8,000 bucks.
She goes through a door,and I can hear her talking.
She says to somebody " this man is acting like he owns this place" I don't feel like I acted that way.
Then This guy comes through the door,not smiling.
I told him "I'm in dock door# 2. I threw the seal in the back".
I handed him the paperwork,and waited for him to say something. He didn't..so I walked back out to my truck.
After about 30 minutes, I can feel them start unloading my truck. About 15 minutes later,he comes out,with my paperwork signed,hands it to me without a word,and I say "y'all have a good day" No reply.
I don't expect people to always be nice to me,but I was surprised,that not even 1 person was friendly.
As I left, I was wondering why they acted like that.
Shouldn't they know, that as a working person,I am on the same side as them?
I really feel,that if it was a natural situation,at least a couple of people there,would have traded greetings,and some shite talk with me.
Something wasn't right at that place.
The company is named Tekpak.

Oddly enough, I offend most black women without saying a word. Even when I go out of my way to be nice, they hate me.
On the flip side, I have instant rapport with black men. Immediately get into conversations and joking around.

Not your facility. At least have the courtesy to park, check in, and find out where to go from there. Seems like you did a dick move.

When I was doing delivery work a little over 10 years ago I had no problems with people. I make friends easily everywhere I go for my entire life.
I noticed a shift within the first few years of obama's term. Even myself having an obvious mixed breed appearance had problems interfacing with an unusually large number of black people.
I don't know what delivery work would be like today but if my every day experiences are an indicator I'm glad I'm no longer doing that.

That is odd. Most of the time,it's black women who like to talk to me the most and joke with me,and when I am in a store or something,many times the small kids will just run to me. That is really a cool feeling.
Their Moms come apologizing to me,and stuff,saying that they never did that before.
I just introduce myself to both of them,have some friendly words,and go about my business.

I heard something one time: respect costs you nothing.
If you're a bald, bearded white guy and walk into a plant with nothing but black employees and you say "Hello ma'am, I have this freight for you, where would you like me to take it?" then I'm going to guess that 99 out of 100 times, at least, you will be treated well. The same will apply when the employees are all white, and every combination in between.

As I said, I had been there a little while,being ignored by everyone. Not even a response to my "how are y'alls".
I probably did push the envelope after that.
I got what I needed. It had to happen.
I'm telling you, I went in there friendly as could be,but that didn't work,not even a reply.

Ya he should have done that if they were ignoring him while he was sitting outside but the way he responded to his customer was just ridiculous. When she made a comment about him parking at the wrong dock he easily could have said something like “I am really sorry about that. I had a really long drive, saw it was empty and assumed it would be ok. I can tell you run a tight ship here so the last thing I want to do is mess it up and if I am in your way I would be happy to move wherever you need me”. If he did that everyone would have had a pleasant experience.
Instead he tells the customer how much Morton’s salt is in his truck and how much he could make selling it in Atlanta!

Absolutely correct,and I follow that guideline. I guess this was that 1 out of 100 place.
That's why I don't understand what happened there.

But you didn’t this time. Maybe she was having a bad day, maybe she was a dick or maybe she just didn’t like your face but you sure didn’t help the situation.

You want to point out where I was in the wrong dock?
I wasn't. I guess I should have mentioned, there was a sign with an arrow,that said " salt deliveries"
Somehow though,you came up with this "wrong dock",because you lie to yourself easily.
I was in the right dock.

You also should have mentioned this and elaborated on how you were “ignored”. Was a person there and not answering any of your questions or was nobody there? Also, if it is a safety thing and you just backed in without talking to anyone it would explain why the chickenhead got mad at you.
Based on your exchange with them and the way you are acting in here it really seems like you have a bad attitude. Maybe, hopefully, it’s just because you are tired or had a bad day.

I had already talked to plenty of people at that place,and it was getting old.
Now, I have dealt with all Black,All Native American,All Chinese,businesses for years,probably at least once each week,but never had a situation like that before.
That's why I mentioned it here.
