Did "The CD Man" register his business with the Louisiana Secretary of State? What about the Louisiana Department of Revenue?
Add this to the list of "not having any regard for the law" for Saint Alton.

Sterling didn't deserve to die, but his choices made it much more likely that he would.
The cop aggravated the situation.
Cops deal with these situations hundreds of times a day across the country with acceptable endings. This one ended badly because of a bad cop

Let us not forget that Sterling's actions precipitated the actions that a "bad cop" took.
Alton certainly didn't have to put a gun to the head of a homeless man prior to his encounter with Baton Rouge's finest. If he wouldn't have done that, chances are that incident on that night never would have taken place.

He didn't "Believe" he had a gun! He "knew" he had a gun!
That's why the cops were called there.
Sterling put s gun to s mans head and threatened him moments earlier!
How's does this fact keep getting glazed over?

Because the Sterling family's future income depends on it.

Sterling is 100% responsible for the cops showing up. He's not responsible for the cops abhorrent behavior.

Damn, just saw the bodycam footage... It adds a whole different perspective than the cellphone footage does.
Sterling should have immediately followed police instruction but damn, they came in hot and heavy. He shouldn't have reached for his gun during the struggle, or even moved his hands in that direction, but I can see why one of the officers was let go. We don't need that type of officer out on the streets.
Sorta reminds me of that shooting in the hotel hallway of the drunk 20 something year old guy.

They were called in because he (a felon) threatened somebody with a gun. You don't talk that out. You arrest him on the spot, check for any weapons, and then talk all you want.
They didn’t know he was a felon when they responded to the 911 call.

Salamoni’s case should have went to a grand jury.
Lake acted completely fine.
Lake acted completely fine.

A lot of people are saying this. Even the broom’s new chief said as much in his comments. Why, then, is Lake suspended? Have they elaborated? Just need to make an example of the honkey cop regardless?

Glad I left BR in 2006 before it started going to shite.

Why? It was his high capacity tyrant spewing death machine that killed the guy. He should get an award for holding it back as long as he did. I have one. I know. It’s difficult to keep it from just raging out on folks...especially black people.
*ny gun is a HUGE racist. We’ve had talks about it, but I fear there is no hope.

Without context the body can video looks bad for Salamoni, but once all the facts are known the context makes all the difference.

The current legal standard is extremely high for charging a law enforcement officer for a crime in cases of excessive force.
However, law enforcement officers are held to a very high standard when it comes to their behavior, particularly in the avoidance/escalation of force.
This is why an officer could be innocent of a crime yet still in violation of a departmental policy that would result in his termination.
The fact that people are struggling with such simple concepts is mind boggling to me.
