Hopefully he won't go to be HC until offered a "name" school. Not a Florida Atlantic

How about LSU wins two championships in the next two out of 3 years. O retires a happy man. Aranda becomes HC, pays Canada head coach type money and just runs shop for 10 years. My delusional level is at 10 after last night but I finally feel like we have a genuine shot. The team wasn't clicking on all cylinders but the tools are there. If we exceed expectations against State, we will easily be top 5.

He may just decide to stick around a while.

He'd be smart to wait for a top tier HC job like Kirby Smart did. He won't get more $ as a DC anywhere else, college or pro. Lower tier jobs like Houston don't pay more than he's getting now. He'll never be more successful as a DC elsewhere (statistically impossible!). The only reason to take a pro DC job is if he prefers the pros, and nothing indicates that so far. He may hang out till a good power 5 job comes up, which will probably take a few years.

I doubt he goes anywhere.... this defense is so young that next year we are looking at a 2011 type defense.... if we put enough quality pieces together on offense, we are looking a great things next year....

It's almost a given that someone will throw 4-5 million at him to be a fbs HC or NFL DC in the offseason.

I think we ought to enjoy him while we can because I don't see a scenario where he's our DC next year. Just too good of a coach to be a college DC imo.

but I don't think he wants a HC job.

Where is the quote of him saying this?

It seems like this is just wishful thinking across the board

this. that's what he wants. doesn't like recruiting and all the collateral that comes with the college game.

Will be Miami Dolphins DC next year. When that doesn't work out, will move on to become DC at Bama.

i dont think he would leave for NFL DC but i could picture him leaving if the right top tier NCAA school offers the right amount.

at this point im not sure who those schools might be. im not even sure what coaches are on the hot seat.

i dont see him going to ole miss (dont they have ncaa problems right now?)

nor do i see him going to miss st (impossible task)

i could see him going to a program like auburn or arkansas or tennessee or aTm but doubt they will be looking? maybe aTm?

he is definitely one hell of a great dc though!

You people are so incredibly miserable. On a day where you should be excited with a new offense and stellar defense, and great game, all you can contribute this morning is NEGATIVE shite. Worrying about shite way down the line instead of just enjoying the moment. You suck

Why don't we just get rid of him now, bring the inevitable to a quick conclusion and end the drama?

Don't let him leave. Fire Orgeron and make Aranda the HC.
