Recruiting absolutely matters. What does not matter are stars. It is about getting players who will produce on the field not a ranking largely based off of camps and 7 on 7.

I maintain that people only ever say stars don't matter when they aren't getting the best players.
When we start getting top 5 recruiting classes again, people will tout our amazing classes. They did it under Meyer and they will do it again when it comes back around here.
