Not melting, but definitely not stoked. Our last few presidents, who totally weren't nation builders, did a widely horrible job of nation building. It's made the world worse and it's made me cynical about this type escalation.
That said, I'll remain cautiously hopeful that this is the president to finally break that trend. Time will tell.

16 SF/seals can train and lead hundreds of Afghan troops, including provide recon and intel.
Regular infantry can deploy and defend forward artillery positions to support the above.
4000 isn't an occupation force, but it's plenty to do a ton of damage to the enemy

When you account for support 4000 is only a few combat arms battalions.

Additional 4000 right? Even 4 SEAL or SF squadrons lead to an exponential increase in fire power when running FID rather than DA Ops. A couple artillery battalions and to support them and its a lot of firepower IMO
