The hospital discharged you? Or did it have to evacuate?

All I can say is this is craziest thing I've ever witnessed
If you were alive in Alvin, TX in 1979 you saw 42 inches of rain in 24 hours.
These kind of rainfall totals put that Alvin total in perspective - essentially double the rain that Dickinson saw over the last 24 hours.

That looks like it's bumping northward instead of the east. Good news, if so.
It will slowly shift east over the next few hours.

GR, you in the front or back of Fall Creek? Anyone flood up there, i just moved out of Fall Creek back Downtown.

You or anyone know anything about Spring Creek? I live where Hardy meets 45 and they came by on a loud speaker with a voluntary evacuation saying the creek was going to crest. I've only been here a month and not sure what to expect. Some were worried others weren't.

So we were discharged before the rain came in... We were home for a good 3-4 hours before the rain began... It wasn't like they released us knowing our area was anyway flooded

Front and side I guess. Closer to Wilson.
I don't think any area is flooded in the neighborhood at this time.

So, dumb question. Were people not told to evacuate in advance of the storm hitting? Was it a wider path than expected?

North of south of Spring Creek? On 45?

That's where we were too. Forrest Glade. The couple that bought our house moved down from Washington State and is surely freaking out about all of this.

Yes my mother in law was here in Alvin when they happened lol, I couldn't imagine being there for that

Is SELA looking at more rain than initially estimated?

Sitting here in Katy. Our house in an area thatbhasnt flooded in at least 28-30 years. I feel sick too my stomach that this water might enter my home and endanger my family.

The announcement we heard was to hunker down...I live in Hillcrest and it's a little higher elevation than Alvin so I thought we would fare a little better, I was wrong

Don't worry. Tatertots left BR after LSU and moved to the north shore to live that white flight life. The dude literally knows nothing outside of his suburb.
