Anything religious, including historical objects - gone.

Anything civil war? Now going or gone

What's the next cause to get wiped from history?

There are these things called books. You can even read some of them for free at your local library.

Explain to me how putting statues in a museum where they can be viewed by people who want to view them is scrubbing history. This line of argument is pretty weak sauce bro.

kthx

Sell the statues to the Nazis and KKK. They can put them out in the woods if they want.

Is that what's happening to the statue that was vandalized this past weekend?

Mitch threw them in an unprotected junk yard. The Civil War History museum, one of the oldest museums in the country, is located a block from Lee's circle and the threw them in a junkyard.

But don't let facts ruin your narrative.

For now.

Soon, the MLK Branch of the Baton Rou-age Public Library will no longer have any books on the Civil War. It was be a stain on MLK's legacy.

They promised to stop at statues of confederate soldiers on public property. You don't believe them?

Weird. Me either.

Go to any public school and pick out a 7th grade Social Studies book. That's the only book most will "read" regarding US and world history....where kids see 1 page on George Washington and 4 on Gloria Steinem.

You're right, my post works under the assumption that these museums will be put in statues because most viewpoints Ive heard point to museums being their final destination. The OP seems to work under the opposite assumption that they will be straight vaporized.

Well thats awesome because it means you can go get it and put it outside your trailer since you hold it in such high value!

But the question is why is any of this necessary? The only reason to remove statues after 150 years is to stir up trouble.

Where will it stop is a very good question. 20 years ago I could've never imagine we'd have groups beating each other over a RE Lee statue.

This is a statue (in MO) of a Democrat (modern era) who ordered the unnecessary melting of over a quarter million innocent civilians. Is it coming down?
