From what I see in the MSN, BLM isn't a terror organization and they have black people sniping cops.. don't see many people on the left denouncing them?

Again, there was lot of fault here. The police had a deal with both groups that each group would enter the park from certain entry points and stay on certain sides of the park. BOTH sides broke that deal.
Just as we can't have an honest discussion when liberals deny that their side did anything wrong, we can't have an honest discussion if you pretend YOUR side did nothing wrong.

My side on this is the truth and common sense. By showing up to counter-protest, these ANTIFA nitwits created the atmosphere for this to happen.
And yes, a LOT of blame goes to the city itself. Had they stepped in during the tiki-torch march, things may not have gotten out of hand in the first place. Had they stated ahead of time that the counter-protesters would not be allowed, this may not have happened. Had they even posted police to try to keep things orderly this may well not have happened.
The basic principle here is that if you go looking to provoke a group, don't be shocked when it works.

One of the established limits of the First Amendment is speech which incites an imminent unlawful action. Showing up to counter-protest while wearing riot gear and carrying a weapon shows a clear intent to do just that.
