Can we admit this was the wrong time to call out the "alt left"?

Saying "well those others guys were being mean too!" when the other group literally killed someone is lacking all situational awareness.
The right time was after Berkeley. Did Trump call out ANTIFA after Berkeley? I can't remember. Or any other time in which ANTIFA was the main culprits of violence.
Trump handled this weekend awfully. Why couldn't he stop after Monday's statement?

No.
Coverage has been brutal, and if I only saw the press coverage, I'd probably be upset. I've actually seen Trump's statements, however, which tend to be fairly moderate.
Most of his "alt-left" comments come after he's asked a question.

ANTIFA has been wrecking shop for the last 2 years almost every weekend. Obama never called them out. In fact you had major Dem leaders fanning the flames calling on people to resist. They absolutely (alt left) deserved to be called out this weekend

No. You could argue that had the permitted group been allowed their right to unopposed free speech that none of it would have escalated. By doing so you could blame her death on the violent left that doesn't respect other's rights.

I just got around to watching the infamous press conference. Couple things:
1. Trumps delivery is just absolutely fricking terrible. Absolute travesty. This was a pretty major misstep on his part for so many reasons.
2. He is right about antifa and the media largely ignoring that they are trash
3. Ive seen people making a moral equivalence between Antifa and KKK/White Nationalist. I think thats pretty ridiculous until we see Antifa stringing people up in trees.
4. The media this morning is fricking retarded with the "Trump condones Nazism"
5. I can understand why black folks dont really enjoy driving by statues which are intended, by definition, to lionize and honor what they did in life when what they did in life was attempt to ensure that they stay enslaved. But thats just me.
