I can't remember what level we called ourselves last year, maybe it was greenseers. I haven't read the books but I've read every bit of information about them and all the theories possible

I also have an attention span to remember shite without it being spoon fed to me like a ton of hodors

I would still recommend reading them if they are ever finished.

I've read the books and still forget a ton because it's been so long since I've read them and there are characters/storylines that aren't in the shows and don't get reinforced. It doesn't help that a lot of it doesn't feel important now.

Of the stuff that has been omitted from the show, I wonder how much is just not important and how much is just not workable.

I'm one of the few who likes a good amount of the changes (although there are certainly some I don't like and some where I don't think we can say until we get the last two books).

Oh I plan on it. I think about it during every break of the show but end up procrastinating

Might actually do it that time since well have like a year and a half before the final season

There's Aegon plot line has felt like a complete waste of time in the books and it has taken up almost a 3rd of the last book.

And I HATE what they did to Dorne.

Nobody likes it. Even the non-readers. I'm still skeptical of how important it will end up being, but it could have definitely been handled better.

I think Dorne is more important with the Aegon plot in play than they would ever be on the show. I expect Arrianne will be the main POV character with Aegon.

I'm thinking it's going to be extremely important in WoW. I expect that once Myrcella is killed by either a Sand Snake, or an agent of Varys or LF, I expect Jaime will go swear fealty to Aegon in order to get Tommen spared. At the end, Varys makes sure Tommen is killed by his own mother, and Jaime will murder her. I fully expect Aegon to be sitting on the Iron Throne by the end of WoW.

Really the Aegon plot isn't about Aegon, it's about Varys. Varys is by far the most radically changed from the book to the show.

This may happen but no way as you described with Jaime swearing to a "Targ"

Agreed, the Aegon subplot will still be important in WoW. I still think Aegon could be the third head of the dragon. The show obviously completely dropped the Aegon story, but they also completely dropped any reference to the dragon having three heads.

Why not? He could see all the enemies swarming around the Lannisters thanks to Cersei and want Tommen spared. Cersei is also crazy enough to kill Tommen herself.

Jaime's #1 regret is not saving Rhaegar's children from his father. All Jaime has to do is explain to Aegon why he killed the Mad King, tell him that Tommen is his own child, and then point out that his own father got a terrible reputation in killing children. He's not going to let him in his Kingsguard, but I think he might allow Jaime to join him, sneak into the Red Keep to get Tommen, and then through the two of them make sure the Westerlands come back peacefully into the fold.

Granted I think that Varys (a person who has no qualms with killing children) will interfere in this little deal, but I think it's incredibly plausible he joins Aegon and once found to be a fake, will then join Jon Snow, the Prince that was Promised.

The show has a habit of combining characters, so it makes me wonder if they might combine Jaime with Aegon. Jaime is now in the south and has assembled his Grande Armee; he is also starting to resent Cercei. Could it be that Jaime is about to turn on his sister with the Highgarden/Dornish army? ("She's been fricking Lancel, and Euron, and Moonboy for all I know!")

I think the next time Jaime sees Cersei, he kills her, both in the books and the show.

I realize that book and show Jaime are completely different. I just don't think he gets put in that position to have to swear to one nor do I think he would in that situation. He'll be dead before then.

I mean, if Jaime goes after Dany or Aegon, regardless the Kingslayer will be brought before them. I think the troops will be counting on him being executed, but he could sway them with words

You think either one would WANT his allegiance?

Not really, but as I said his words could sway them.

It could make for some interesting conflict between Aegon and Jon Connington.

Connington has already disagreed with Aegon for giving a Kings Guard position to his friend. Connington thinks those positions should be given to powerful allies.

Imagine if Aegon allowed the Kingslayer to be his Kingsguard; Connington would be like WTF, that's not what I meant!

Jon Con was just pissed he didn't get to vet fAegon's KG candidates...he wants to be in charge of handing out backstage passes to all these...strapping young men.

shite, I just remembered who had greyscale in the books, and it still sends me. WTF was the point in that, 2phat? He can't just check-in to Hotel Sam like Jorah...not with that contract on his arse.
