Youre looking at these elite brands and shopping for discounts?

Even those elite brands will sell stuff come down off their prices.

My gf works for a high end furniture company showroom and they only sell to designers and the retail mark-up is 3x. They'll give out some deep discounts sometimes as much as 50%. The designer will mark-up on that for their cut.

A retail showroom won't cut that deep, but they do have flexibility on pricing.

Blue star is very nice, 25k BTU burners are some beasts. Spend the extra money and get a Ventahood over your range. You won't be disappointed.

My recommendation is to put a standard size fridge in, a fridge is fridge. You are paying for looks and for the logo basically. I would by no means splurge there. I say a standard size because my mother in law just had to reorder a new panel fridge and I can't remember the size but it was an odd large size so she basically had to go with a new high end fridge that cost her like $2,000 extra. I think she couldn't match the cabinets to close the gaps on 15 year old cabinets or something.

Cook tops the high end ones give you better BTU's. That's basically what you are paying for, so get a 20k+ btu burner if you are dropping cash on a nice one. Stoves are stove, how often do you honestly need dual temp ovens and to fit 5 sheet pans in at once?

Just remember that when those high end appliances break, they are stupid expensive. I had a Viking dishwasher need a fairly minor repair a couple years ago and it was literally $700 for parts plus labor. I just bought a new $800- $1000 dishwasher. (Yes Vikings are notoriously bad)

If you are discussing the price of sub zero or wolf then they are not the products for you.

Find something else you will be happy with.

You're an idiot that must think he's new money rich or something. I know plenty of people with money and price is almost always considered. It's how most people become wealthy, you know by being smart with money.

Check out Elite Appliance out of Dallas. They gave us a pretty good deal on Viking and delivered it to Madison, MS for free. Not sure if they carry Wolf/Subzero

The correct answer is SZ and Wolf, like most premium appliance brands ie Viking, Thermador, Miele, have a factory set minimum resale price and it is clearly published in their pricing book which the salesperson should readily show you. There is a retail column and a builder price column (which is the true minimum resale price available to all). Some dealers in competitive markets will offer free installation/delivery. There will not be a deviation from dealer to dealer in any specific region. If you can find a floor sample or scratch n dent piece, the dealer is not bound by minimum pricing. SZ has the lowest profit margin (25 to 28 points) of all the luxury brands. You will not be able to buy online. It is the #1 "pride of ownership" label in the industry (by far) but also the best from a performance standpoint. The dual compressor feature will eliminate freezer burn and your fresh fruits and vegetables will stay fresh substantially longer than any other fridge. It is manufactured to last 20 years which is substantially longer than other brands. There is no guarantee on any appliance that you will never have a problem buy SZ servicers are the best in the industry.
Total BTU output is not indicative of the power or cooking performance of cooktop. Distance from flame to bottom of pot is the determining factor for efficiency. The farther the distance the greater loss of heat. Also performance on simmer setting is not consistent from brand to brand. The Wolf double port burner does well on simmer. Thermador does best because burner will cycle on and off.
The wolf convection oven with dual elements is the best performing oven in industry.
Bottom line, you get what you pay for..
And I guarantee you Napoleon has a SubZero fridge... fwiw..
Good luck!

And if your doing the 48" range, regardless of brand, make sure you do a minimum 1200 cfm blower..

You have any experience with installing steam ovens? I have a friend getting one installed and she can't stop talking about it

If your really into cooking and eating healthy and not in a hurry they are worth it..most restaurants use steam ovens to reheat..takes longer than microwave but will rehydrate food superbly

You must have a really nice camp...

I take it from this personal attack you didn't like my post. My guess is you haven't had to buy such appliances. They are nice and high quality. There is no situation in which they make financial sense. There are absolutely as good of quality products out there from other companies at a lower price point.

If you are buying them it is for the name stuck on the side. If you are doing that then you don't care how much they cost.

I was buying a new home, cut out for Fridge was made for Sub Zero, but I was balking at the cost. My realtor knew of a builder(not builder of my home) that had a builders discount and they ordered for me. Saved a few thousand. Yes, worth it

This is simply not true. I went with Wolf because that’s what I wanted but I still obviously discussed the price.

Just because you’re cost conscious doesn’t mean you cannot afford something.

I second guess and consider every major purchase I make. When I shop for new jeans or muck hunting boots I’ll compare prices and look for coupons. Hell, even when I’m in the grocery store I will compare price differences. Doesn’t mean I always go with generic, but it is always a consideration.

give AJ Madison a call. very good experiences with them. they WILL work with you on prices if you can stomach buying from out-of-state instead of a local dealer.

Ask for Solomon Lewis. Good guy, We use him on all our new construction projects, he will beat advertised price.

Good product. I’m from TN so love local product as much as anyone. Not on level on Wolf/SubZero by any stretch of imagination.
