200 replies, to an individual post, without it being from a media source is pretty decent. Not totally viral, YET, but the thread is "watching...go viral."
IF this side of the story is accurate, this kid got hosed. And frick the subsequent customer for teaching racism to his daughter in order to get either a free cookie, or a kid fired, possibly both.

He's probably just a kid who thought he was doing the right thing. If he was my son, after getting written up and being put on a silly one week suspension, I would have advised him to find another menial job somewhere else in the mall.

I don't think there's really a 'right' or a 'wrong' in this situation. People should be able to spend their money on whatever they choose.

I guess it all depends. A lot of these retail stores have policies on employees making personal transactions while on the clock.
Years ago when I worked at Blockbuster, purchasing anything while on the clock required all kinds of levels of clearance that involved a manager's code, the receipt had to be taped around the item purchased initialed by the manager. I'm sure there was an animal sacrifice involved somewhere in the process. And God forbid if that receipt wasn't initialed and taped to the item. The fires of Perdition could not compare to a Blockbuster Video auditor discovering that the receipt was in the employee's pocket and not conspicuously taped to a bottle of Dasani.

exactly, just cool watching something spread from one post
it is only four hours old, I have seen it shared on four different Katy or Houston related feeds/boards. the original post has over 300 replies now.
but what is interesting is Rachel McNeill of Ch 2 and Kevin Quinn of Ch 13 are in the thread already inquiring about an interview. So if the story is true and checks out, then it will probably be citywide in a day or two

On the contrary, if true, that kid has the PR upperhand and can probably name his position with the company.

I am the same. Everyone is all up in arms over some teenager's account to his MOM of what happened. Yeah...grain of salt there. Though I'm sure the gist of it is true...but other things may have happened that he didn't tell his mom about and weren't put into the disciplinary write-up that was posted on FB.
