He was someone who had no cares and did it his way. He had attitude in his younger days. He didn't care about team orders either.

His Tour win with Discovery was amazing that ITT to win it was a great ride

I have a feeling Uran will make a serious attack tomorrow. Bardet was great today, but I feel like Uran wa sort of waiting for tomorrow and seems like he has something left in the tank. Looking forward to watching Dan Martin next year. Had some crappy luck being taken out in that crash, but he has made some awesome agressive moves since then. He has to be hungry next year.

Next year Martin should wait and go for the Vuelta. I think he could win it but it's risky only doing the Vuelta because if you have an issue of crash your whole season is wasted.

Riding for the podium. Bardet with a small attack but is isolated. Sky still has Kwiatkowski, Landa, and Nieve with Froome. So. Looks like it's going to be impossible for the GC guys to crack Froome, I think.

I've been just so impressed with Landa. He's been absolutely incredible.

Was hoping Landa could move up to a podium. I really wonder if Froome's attack at the end was more about bringing Landa back than it was about pressuring Bardet and Uran. Just might be tired of hearing people talk about "if only Landa was let loose". Was hoping for a major attack by Bardet or Uran, but obviously Sky was too strong and Froome still has it. This was still a very enjoyable tour to watch. I wish all of the mountain stages had summit finishes though.

But why? So only three people have a shot?

I think this year had a good balance. The other stages have been more interesting than the summit finishes in my opinion.

Haven't watch the stage today yet but it went about how I expected it might go. Your podium is Froome, Uran and Bardet in that order. Landa may press Bardet but think he's to far back and Bardet is holding up well this third week. Froome has been better but with Landa's strength and relatively weak competition, this was always a Froome win barring an abandonment. Still enjoy some of the stages.

That was kind of disappointing.

What a heck of a tour for Barguill.

He was certainly not you typical KOM winner. He seem to be one of the better climbers of this tour. Good on him.

What a heck of a season for Sunweb! The maglia rosa at the Giro and Green and Polka Dot at the Tour with four stage wins (and very nearly five)!!

So what about the motor rumors we heard last year ? Are they checking the bikes?

People have been accused of havin. Little motors in their bikes before, I remember Cancellara being accused a couple of years back after he destroyed a classic race

They do check at random but I'd be shocked if anyone was that stupid

This thread is going to fade and wanted to say that I'm glad there are people on MSB that watch and enjoy cycling at the professional level. Enjoyed everyone's opinion and view on the sport and the race. Tomorrow is a really good test to see who has the best form late in a GT within their TT ability. Race of truth tomorrow for placement in GC and I'm going to enjoy the brutality of having no team and nowhere to hide aspect of this kind of effort.
