Harry's is crap. Never tried DSC. Use Schick hydro, which is cheap from Costco.

I shave my face every day with one of these with no problems.

recently joined up with harry's
i've got very thick facial hair and i find their 5 blade razor doesnt pull nearly as much (really it doesnt pull at all) as gilette's 5 blade fusion
if i let myself go 4 or 5 days without shaving i would have to use the beard trimmer before shaving with gillette
with harrys i can just shave away and there's no pulling or tugging on the hair
the blades are very sharp compared to gilette. I actually nicked myself the first time. I'd never done that in 10+ years of using gillette
I know different razors work for different people, but Harry's works great for me
i eventually want to try safety razors and straight razors but havent gone that way yet

I don't change the blades on a schedule. If they start to pull or feel uncomfortable, I change them. I'd say I get at least a month off each blade.

Pretty smooth and no razor burn. I probably could squeeze another week out of them
It's all in the cleaning and drying of the razor.

Damn can't get that much....I get about a week per blade (usually 3 shaves depending on level of laziness or amount of events). That still puts me at ~$25/year to shave. Way cheaper than going the Gillette route because those blades would start pulling on me after about 2 weeks themselves even with the 5+ blades.

This could be part of my problem....what are you doing in this area?

Same here, I find they clog up more than the fusion and holding it under water won't get it out.

Have been using DSC's 4 blade for 6 months. Just canceled. Not sure why but it was really hard to shave some spots around my chin (never had that issue before). And yes, the blades seemed dull. Switching back to Mach.

I buy 1 pack at Costco and that'll last me about a year. Like I said, I dont' have thick facial hair at all. I could let it grow for 3 weeks and it wouldn't be as thick as some of my friends who let it grow for 5 days.

I agree that this can prolong the life, but you inevitably will dull the blade, regardless. I just can't see going that long, but to each his own.
As someone else mentioned, my blades cost me about $25 a year, so I don't mind putting a fresh blade in after every two or three shaves.

A little rubbing alcohol and make sure you dry it completely. That's how razors get dull so fast because people don't dry then off well enough

Damn....mine is pretty thick. The worst problem is that it gets thick to a point and then stops growing making it so far in my life (at 36 I don't think it's changing anytime soon) impossible to grow a beard that looks halfway worth anything.

You'll wonder why you never used this before once you get one of these. Never pay for all that dumb shite again. I got 100 razors in July of 2016 and still have plenty left. Get you a nice badger brush too. Oh and I got this shaving cream last July as well. It's amazing. Still have over half left.
