Our "honor code" govenor is tied at the hip to the NBR black political mob...so scared of doing the RIGHT thing and disbanding tarshas' band of merry thieves !
Just has to have the vote, to continue all the good he's doing !

But they haven't got the money yet, right? That part can still be stopped can't it?

No funding yet. I believe they're voting on the approval a week from today. They can stop the approval of the millage but there's one woman who said she's going to vote for approval even though she thinks the system is completely fricked.

ETA: she's basically the deciding vote

We need the OT to go to work. Stupid council woman said this isn't news worthy...I hope to god she spoke out against Col Mike Edmundson of the state troopers...I'm sure JBE must have commented also.

But I thought they sent out a letter saying what they were being accused of wasn't true? It is good to know tax dollars fund this organization (sarcasm).

Although I have been somewhat following this situation, I don't know the details. Are they or will they at least be investigated? There is no way a tax funded institution can continue to be funded, with all of these accusations, without any type of investigation.

Please let some of you Baton Rouge people tell me again how BR is so much better than LP. I'm not gonna hate you too bad, but how the hell do y'all stay in that shite hole of a parish is beyond me. Come on over to good ol LP and leave the animals there to kill each other and milk their funds dry... one thing when the last of the good people come over ... lock the gate behind you

Who in God's name is downvoting posts in this thread? Does Tarsha post here?

I really wish that it would be possible to click on the up or down votes and see the individuals who voted either way!

I'm learning as an outsider but it burns me up. Just doesn't sound like anything we have in Texas. Government funded elderly programs are a big deal here and has some scrutiny that comes with it. Austin would shite over this.

The Governor can revoke their charter with a signature. Any misuse from this point forward is because he allowed it for his political gain. Period.
