Uh, I'm pretty sure that's why allen is leaving, because deculus is the truth and he wasnt going to play. Hes not tranferring because he thinks hes too good for lsu thats for damn sure. He wanst going to start here possibly ever. He was a project and it didn't work out. Wish him the best. It happens at bigtime programs all of the time.

To the people who are saying that guys transferring is due to poor recruiting of the O-Line....I honestly am not getting your logic and question your intelligence....guys transferring from a program so early into their second year is because they have been passed up by guys younger than them....they knew that they would never play significantly enough to warrant staying for FOUR YEARS.....That's a sign of good recruiting....if a player thinks he won't play his whole career looking forward that far ahead, then that is because the position is set for that far ahead and possibly even further. Two 5 star recruits are gone after watching guys younger than them or the same class as them pass them up. Yet somehow this means Grimes can't recruit??? I seriously wonder how someone could come to that conclusion. What's even more ridiculous about that idea is the fact that literally right now for the class of 2019, we have two 5 star offensive lineman currently committed to the program, a tackle and a guard, both massive prospects rated in the top 30 of their class....but yeah....we sure do suck at recruiting the O-Line.....How do y'all not come to the conclusion that you don't want the guy who's trying to bail out on you....If a player knows he can't hack it and wants out, then you honestly should show him the door as soon as possible, why would you want that kind of weak hearted cowardice sticking around to infect the good players. All the luck in the world to Allen, hope he has a great career somewhere at Small Time Football U....or STFU........see what I just did there??? No??? How could you with your heads so far up your asses.

Rewind back to the High School Under Armour game, Willie struggled heavily against a top tier D-Line.

I think early comparisons to Brad Smalling (West Monroe) were very accurate. Some high school players look very dominant when going up against guys that weigh 100 pounds less than them.

I wish him the best. However, he could use a little humility. His "officially opening my recruitment' is just plain silly. He's not going to be courted by or looking at Blue Chip schools. He is going to look to a smaller league where he can dominate by just naturally being big.

Heavy favorites are Nicholls State and SLU. He needs to be close to home and his John Curtis camp has probably had it all arranged.

Apparently, LSU blocked him from transferring to TCU directly. However, Allen's twitter post would indicate he is open to a lot of schools.

All of you Wannabe Sports Bar Heries can't wait to tear this kid down. He is transferring because he is being passed by, but all you "Who Have Never Played The Game at That Level" can't resist tearing the kid down. Giltess wannabe wimpy cowards at work. Go back to your Sports Bar because you would never have the guts to say such to his face.

Put on a uniform and go up against him. You would pee in your pants and he would knock you on your insignificant behinds.

What do you think about K.J. Malone's tweet about Willie leaving?

Brad Smalling was a dominating GUARD at 350 lbs at WM. He gets to LSU and DiNardo makes him lose down 290 and tries to make him a tackle. He was never that and at least he started some and played. Fact of the matter is Smallonv should have stayed at his high school weight and played OG at LSU.

Yet another wasted scholarship on a Louisiana OL.

Good luck WA.
Better to be where you want to be and not where your (and other transfers') unhappiness might poison the team.

2 transfers

Possibly 2 more
I wonder if some of these kids are being urged to transfer, or at least hints dropped.

In other words, are we starting to "process" kids like some other schools (Bama is the one everyone thinks of, but they are not alone) as part of the overall strategy?

I'm a little bit torn on that. Yeah, there's a little bit of shittiness to it. But, on the other hand, I've been one calling for more ruthlessness. It is part of the game now. Next time a kid flips (to or away from us) or his HS coach is steering kids away from us because he personally feels wronged, etc. just remember the school has very little leverage.

IF we've begun to process players actively, I'm for it. If the NCAA doesn't like it, they can just give all schools 5 or more privately funded scholarships to prevent it. Otherwise, it is now part of a major programs policy.

Just because you get passed up doesn't mean you can't get better and regain your place on the depth chart. Wish he gave it at least another year of development before moving on.

Ehh not a huge loss. I wish him the best though.

Considering the attrition we've had at OL over the past several years and our lack of consistency there, any loss is cause for concern IMO.
