dug to "china" as my wife says, putting in a drainage system...
went to Blind River today to get the boat wet (it's close)...
Space Monkey was on...caught 15 or 18 bass (small) and I can't count how many big goggle eye...
was giggling like a little girl when they hit that thing on top water...
beat the weather and home cooking a chicken and sausage gumbo with a few blue cans waiting to see if Rice finishes off Southeastern for the regionals...

Saturday: got some crap done around the shop, cleaned up a bit, replaced a broken leaf spring and rebuilt the suspension on our enclosed trailer.

Sunday: left Lafayette at 2am and headed to grand Isle and caught my first ever limit of trout out of the kayak. Every one on a Matrix topwater, not one single throwback either.

Plan: drive there, pray I catch fish.

I fished on the backside of the island out of the kayak launch so I was protected from the south wind. It was fine first thing in the morning but picked up a bit when I was just about finished my limit.

Saturday morning I took the new kayak out for the second time. Still learning how and where to fish with this thing. Just caught one little bass, but it was nice to be out.

Should have picked up the trash before I snapped a photo. Littering bastards.
