I did this for years and the chick friends I'd go out with were better wingmen than the guys. Regardless we all brought home strange numerous times.
I have now been with the girl I will likely marry for a couple years. No regrets for that time in my 20s, had a blast doing it.

If you saw what I saw in the dating world, single men here past the age of 30, you wouldn't consider them a "prime crop"

They may be prime just by the process of elimination.
The dating pool gets pretty damn shallow at a point unless you are willing to accept stuff that would have been dealbreakers when you were younger.
