Is there really an "underground" gay male scene amongst the young professionals in BR?

I was talking about this with a couple of girlfriends the other night. Between the 3 of us, we know a lot of the same guys who are single in BR.. mainly late 20s and 30s. They "go out" with girls and take pics with them out in public, but never really date any of them. Go years and years without a gf. There's something going on in this town and a bunch of dudes who are secretly in the closet just need to come out already... or just move to Nola where there's a "safe space" for that lifestyle.
