We'll have almost all of the host spots figured out by tonight. I love trying to figure out how the committee will pair each bracket.
As of this moment....how far off do you think I am on host? Not pairings, because I didn't put as much thought into that, but the remaining 8 host spots.
Missouri St is the one who obviously may not belong. However, I can find something wrong with a bunch of the other possibilities. Will make pairing a little easier without another SEC/ACC team hosting.

UCF is right on that bubble.
Someone told me Missouri St can't host because of stadium occupancy that weekend.

If it's done on resume then we are a 4 or 5 seed without a doubt. Nothing else really matters at this point.
OSU probably has the 1, just based on number of wins.
UF has the 2, based on one hell of a resume.
LSU will have a good resume, but UNC probably gets the 3.
Then you are talking about Tech and LSU for 4 or 5.

Well that would change things for me. I just put them because otherwise it seems like a SEC or ACC host, and they already have plenty of those, so I threw Missouri State out there. Looks like the 8th national seed and 16th host spot are pretty much all that's up for grabs.

Do you think AA conference gets a host? I looked and saw UCF as the #1 seed (so I'm assuming they won the regular season title) and are in the semis of the tournament, with Houston as the 2 also there. Or did I mistake UCF for USF?

Now that they won today I'm liking Florida State to take a host spot. Plus UCF lost soI'd knock them out. Houston could take a host spot as well if they win the American tomorrow.

The best chance for them is either Houston or UCF but right now I just don't think any of them have that locked up right now. It'll come down to if Houston can win their tournament but even then it'll be close.

LSU is probably getting the SEC's top national seed with a win tomorrow after this Florida demolition from Arkansas. I don't see how they don't get a top 4 seed actually

I believe I heard correctly that a nearby minor league park is available for Missouri State to host.

Missouri State has zero wins against the RPI top 50. That's a pretty huge hole in their resume. I think the final 2 host sites will be between Florida State, Clemson, Houston, Texas and Arizona.

16. Missouri St (surprise pick)
If Houston beats ECU tomorrow, they'll likely get the last host spot.

If Houston gets in it will replace UCF. Both UCF and Houston probably don't both host.
