My wife and I are going to the Garth Brooks concert next month. Any recommendations for dinner? We enjoy seafood, steak, and most everything else. TIA and Happy Mother's Day to all the moms.

Pamplona is my favorite. Social is second. Social would be agood, lively pre-concert vibe.

You really like to plan ahead

Mazen's would probably fit your criteria

Bon Temps if you're looking for a bit of local fare. Although I like other restaurants for various reasons, I may have eaten at Bon Temps more than any other Lafayette restaurant.

Saint Street Inn, although it's tough to get a table on a Saturday night since it's a small venue.

Charlie G's for an all around good formal experience, without being stuffy.

Randol's can be a fun place for live Cajun music, but unfortunately, I can't recommend the food there. Nothing terrible, but if you're looking for steak and seafood, not so much.

No love for Ruffinos? Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere. This is where I would go.

Went for Mother's Day brunch... We were very disappointed. Their crab cakes are a shadow of what they were 20 years ago.

My sone got a piece of grilled mahi for $48 that wasn't worth $20.

One of the desserts was cheese cake with fresh berries. It was served with 1/4 of one strawberry.

The cream they served with coffee wasn't cream. The waiter said they were out, so they subbed milk, which wasn't even whole milk.

I could go on. Lafayette has better to offer.

A case could surely be made. Top 3 or 4 for certain.

my favorites in order...

Pamplona, Ruffino's, Mazen, Marcello's, Charlie G's, Saint Street Inn, Bon Temps

Also have to mention La Fonda, average food but excellent margaritas and atmosphere.

I was there for mother's day too, very underwhelming. Agreed on crab cakes. I craved those things back in the cut, not so much anymore.

Pound for pound, its Marcello for me. Not a bad dish on the menu (maybe tuna steak), service and atmosphere great.

Ruffino has great bar area and good/not great appetizers. Entrees are not good and overpriced.
