The thread where you claimed your city council is actively trying to keep business out of your town? Sure I did.

signed a repeal of Obama-era broadband privacy rules, the White House said.

Sounds like we're going back to the way things were before Obama. So how have things changed for you on the internet from when Bush was President to now?

Good luck trying to find a reputable and well paying job or legit school that doesn't require internet.

It's hard to even call it an "Obama-era" bill. I believe it just went into effect in January.

If you aren't using Google, then you aren't worried about this...

Well then this is going to have a huge impact on our lives. The internet will be like it was under W and most of Obama. What will we do?

Yes bc its true

we had to literally explain NN to you. How local gov't keeps competing ISPs from entering, among other things.

That is a stone cold fact that can't be argued against

You're asking what has changed in the internet and technology in the last 9 years?

Just off the top of my head, how does identity theft compare today vs. when Bush was President?

You sure will when your ISP slaps a crazy data cap on you.

Must be awesome having someone telling you how much internet you can use.

Did that happen before Obama signed his bill?

It never went into effect. And repealing it doesn't impact the underlying statutory protections of Section 222 of the Communications Act.

Revisionist history. I audit local governments for a living. You imagined having to explain how they work to me. You just want local governments to be unable to enter into contracts with companies for infrastructure improvements that then allow less competition in order to recoup costs. It's very simple-minded. Your way would completely halt the advancement of fiber networks in this country unless government builds it. I wonder how much your NN and privacy laws would matter when governments are the ISPs? You don't even understand what you're asking for.

If you haven't noticed in areas where there is competition, caps don't happen or are 1 TB +.

You are a fool on this. These companies keep out competition to frick over the customer. They don't care about their infrastructure and improving it.

These companies with monopolies have no incentive to lay fiber down. In areas that google fiber or FIOS showed up. Other ISPs had to follow suit to not have all their customers leave.

I'm in the IT field and know exactly what im talking about. The gov't doesn't have to lay the fiber. ISPs can share infrastructure and thats a proven fact. Just that ISP pays the other to use it.

He's giving off the vibe that he has no intention of staying more than 4 years.
Looks like we're gonn get legislation if we like it or not so the history books have something to write about what he did. Haven't given up on him yet, but he's starting off as poorly as I could of imagined
