I don't see where you broke down how that's awful, the Astros are contenders we can let our top 4 prospects go

Same thing y'all said the last two years. Why should this year be any different?

I hate the Astros but they should be really good this year. Most experts think they are the 3rd best team in the AL after the Red Sox and Indians.

The Angels won't be terrible but they won't make the playoffs either. I say they finish just over .500 and the Astros win 90+ games.

Why don't we just trade the entire Astros lineup then for the entire angels lineup that will probably equal out on your fairness scale

You get so grumpy when posters call you out on your ideas.

They could get a shite ton of draft picks

This isn't the NBA or NFL. You can only trade certain comp picks in MLB

Lmfao why would the Astros trade correa who will be a stud at a much more difficult position to find power at? You still don't get that as good as trout is, the last few years for the halos should be proof they need to unload everyone and stock the farm, look at Houston we're now legit contenders for years to come.

why would the angels trade the possible GOAT in his age 25 season because theyve had a rough couple of seasons?

The Angels should keep Trout. Trade everyone else worth anything. Stockpile prospects and go for the 3 year rebuild. They really should have started this a year and a half ago.

to acquire a player like trout, you would have to pay such an exorbitantly large price that it would make your overall team worse. thats why its dumb to even go down this road

Cuz they're bad so to become good they have to trade their good players. A bunch of prospects that likely won't turn out more than one all star for Trout is fair. So easy an Astro could do iit!

because they have 0 talent besides him at the major league level and nothing significant coming in the farm. They won't be contenders at all till 2020 if that, trout will be 28/29 and if the rebuild doesn't come along like planned he could even leave them for nothing

Yes and yes. You can get a decent return for Calhoun if he keeps hitting this year. Hope Richards pitches well and stays healthy and deal him. If they can afford to, eat money on Pujols deal and see if anyone would deal with even part of that contract

And start drafting/developing better. Clearly what they are doing in the draft process and in the minors is broken. No team should have a system this bad

and they can literally get the same exact deal you are floating right now then. so once again, why would they accept that deal now if they can get that same exact deal 4 years from now?

Doubtful they're gonna get as much of a haul for a guy with a half season left under contract heading to free agency and a potential $400m deal
