What do you drive and how many gears?
Manual cars are hard to come by anymore.
I drive my wife's mini cooper countryman sport when I'm not driving my jeep. 6 speed with a sport button. Actually fun to drive

My first truck was a stick shift. Had to get rid of it a dew years ago cause everything was going bad. Loved that truck until I moved to BR. Stick isn't fun in traffic especially when you get stuck on interstate on ramps and the dipshit behind you is practically making out with your bumper.
Frick BR Traffic.

Not many. I've always drove manuals until my current vehicle. Like you said, they're harder and harder to find in the US. I prefer the increased control of the car.

6 speed diesel Jetta.
I wouldn't own an automatic if I didn't have to. Unfortunately the only HD truck you can get with a hand shaker now is a damn dodge diesel.

Until my last 2 vehicles, I had only ever owned manuals. But when I decided I needed a truck, those were a lot harder to come by in manual.
Whats the sport button do in your Jeep though?

Back in high school my Jeep was a 5 speed. Ended up with a summer job after graduation and all the delivery trucks were compact stick shifts. Me and one other guy got to make every delivery that summer while the others had to stock the warehouse and unload trucks. The company asked who knew how and we both raised our hands. They asked if we really knew how and we both said to go look at what we drove to work every day. Apparently someone tore up a truck in previous years and they made sure everyone taking company property out after that really knew. I think the guy rolled back into someone and they had to pay for repairs.
My current Jeep is a 5 speed as well. Love having the control over it. We live in Birmingham with tons of hills so picking your gear going up or down is great.

Wanted a stick in my Taco bad, but I bought used and my truck was hard enough to find as it was

Jeep is auto. I prefer auto for a wrangler.
Sport button makes it (mini cooper) faster. Its a turbo car. I imagine it's like the sport mode on many automatics these day
10 years ago I had 3 manual cars and no automatics. Had a eclipse, probe gt, and a metro lol

Most of my cars have been manual. Unfortunately they're getting hard to find. My current car has a six speed, fun to drive.

If I ever move back to the mountains my next Jeep will be an auto. Much better for rock crawling.

Wife drives a Jetta stickshift. Her primary car has been a manual since she learned how to drive on a 1987 VW Fox we bought for $50.
