Bernie Sanders has purchased his third house – a move that has drawn mass criticism and trolling from social media users. Vanity Fair confirms the purchase, reporting that Sanders purchased a four-bedroom home on the shore of Lake Champlain for $600,000 – more than three times the median American home price. The proceeds reportedly came from the sale of a home his wife inherited. Sanders now owns three properties – one in Burlington, Vermont and another in Capitol Hill, D.C.

What's the point of bringing up a seven month old story again?

I own two houses at 36 and never made six figs so what's the problem?
Sanders has been a senator since 2007 I believe.
Senate salaries
2007 -- $165,200 per annum
2008 -- $169,300 per annum
2009 -- $174,000 per annum
2010 -- $174,000 per annum
2011 -- $174,000 per annum
2012 -- $174,000 per annum
2013 -- $174,000 per annum
2014 -- $174,000 per annum
2015 -- $174,000 per annum
2016 -- $174,000 per annum
2017 -- $174,000 per annum
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Even your article says they bought the house with inheritance money. I'm lost as to how this troubles anyone.

My parents have 4 houses and they are not rich.
My sister-in-law has one house and it is paid four. It's worth at least 1.5 million. She is rich, her and her husband works for the federal government and they are related to aextremely conservative (R) state senator.

This is pretty dumb 1) He's selling a property that his wife inherited to buy this. 2) as the article pointed out, he's still one of the poorest members of the senate. $600,000 is chump change for someone like Trump.

Isn't inheritance one of the Seven Deadly Sins in Bernie World?

I still think that owning 3 homes and preaching about the rich is akin to Al Gore telling us about cutting carbon while jetting around the world and owning multiple energy guzzling homes. It's simply hypocritical.

Why are we concerned with how people spend their inheritances?

Not bad for someone who has never worked a day in his life.
