I stopped caring in the early 90s. It's when most of my family stopped watching the news

All cities lie about their crime stats especially those with tourism concerns
and I also don't think my first post was "dumbest of the year" and I think it's very possible this guy gets some hot sauce on his sentence for fricking with a cash cow...no? do you not think that's possible?

I don't care that it is black on black crime, but that IS what the bigger problem is...and so part of the reason no one cares about briana allen is not only that she's black, but her killer isn't white or Hispanic. media, politicians and activists only care about themselves, and the results are tragic.

You think 10 years is unreasonable for injuring 30 people while driving drunk. Your opinion on what is adding "some hot sauce" is pretty irrelevant.

most potential, best food, most beautiful... just happens to be the most corrupt and all of the other big problems plaguing it are in some way related to that. and I don't think it is going to change until people there wake the frick up.
don't get me wrong the statues are important, that shite is history, but that's the reason mitch Landrieu lost a lot of his long time supporters...REALLY?! you get what i'm saying? there's some big problems there and it is absolutely mind boggling how little people fricking care about it. especially when you consider everyone is so proud of the city to begin with

Not based of the idiocy you're spewing in here.

but that's the reason mitch Landrieu lost a lot of his long time supporters...REALLY?!
Perhaps it's because those former supporters thought there were much better things he should be using his time on.... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

No.

You can be proud of the city while still trying to improve it. Or you can talk shite straight out of your arse like you're doing.

I guess I am saying there's a bit of apathy on the part of white people because she's black but it takes 2 to tango, and black people only care if the shooter is white.

This isn't a kid. At 25 he is a grown man

it seems as if we understand each other then...I actually think prison should only house people who are a threat to public safety and this kid definitely qualifies but not because he's a violent sociopath. I think 10 or more is too much and has more to do with fricking with the city's $$$$$ but at the same time i'm not losing sleep because he made a decision and he has to live with the consequences.
for non violent crimes I think punitive measures should be considerable, but not prison...why is Teresa giudice in prison? take her house and money don't let her keep it and then live on my dime in the pokey.

In my opinion, if you get completely shitfaced drunk (.232) and injure someone driving, you should be seeing years in jail. The punishment needs to be severe.

she's a real housewife of new jersey
she and her husband lied on several loan applications...because the bankS didn't do any due diligence before giving them millions, your federal tax dollars supported her for a year in federal prison and her husband is now doing 4...meanwhile they get to keep their ridiculous lifestyle by keeping their mansion and all of their assets. so how was the public good served here?
1. creditors still got fricked 2. tax dollars wasted and 3.the criminals learned nothing. they kept all the spoils from their crime

That's incredible really. Surprised those assets weren't seized. I think I'd actually do a year in fed prison for a few mill.
Posted on 3/1/17 at 4:03 pm to The Mick
Imagine if you're her creditor. She's not making money with which she can pay you back if she's in prison.
10 years is a long time and prison is a fricking hell hole. Nobody is dead. Unless he paralyzed someone or took their limb that's enough if not too much.
