It's only a matter of time before blue collar is extinct.

Benedikt Frey and Associate Professor Michael Osborne from the University of Oxford, there’s an over 90% chance that robots will take over the jobs of (long list ahead): masons, budget analysts, tax examiners and collectors, butchers and meat cutters, retail salespersons, geological and petroleum technicians, hand sewers, abstract searchers, watch repairers, new account clerks, tax preparers, order clerks, loan officers, legal secretaries, radio operators, tellers, hotel and restaurant hostesses, cashiers, real estate brokers, polishing workers, dental technicians, pesticide sprayers, telephone operators, cooks (not chefs), rock splitters, gaming dealers, and many, many more

People will always pay for service. Just because a machine can do something does not eliminate the price (and thus, cost) of human interaction.

a 250% increase in productivity would lead to lower prices bigly.

Well, now that the ChiComs don't need those 90%, they can all be summarily executed...
...for the greater good.

I knew when Wolowitz invented that robotic meat beating machine it was only a matter of time that the bots were right around the corner.

Bolded jobs aren't going anywhere, anytime soon. Some are seeing a resurgence from millennials wanting the human touch, and others are from people wanting humans to say "hi" in those positions.

The Wally World in my little corner of BFE has self-checkout stands now. If it can work here, it will work everywhere.

Know where I can purchase one of these, asking for a friend

So in the future when I refer to an unorganized cluster frick as a Chinese fire drill, I'll be talking about robots?

Why in the hell are so many people still scared of automation? It helps the poorest among us the most by making things more affordable AND freeing up that labor to be used in more efficient parts of the economy.
I am 100% convinced these people would have tried to lynch Henry Ford.

I actually used to think that automation crushes people, but it didn't take much digging to see just how stupid that view was.

You know what automation has probably put the most people out of work?
