Just got this months American rifleman and they have the A-5 Sweet Sixteen. That may be a must for me this year. $1700 is the price for it.

I searched and didn't see another thread.

ETA website: A5 Sweet Sixteen

I've got almost $1000 in Cabelas giftcards and I've been thinking about what gun I wanted to buy. I think I've found my answer

I have a Sweet 16 (Belgium made) given to me in 1950 by my father that probably has had less than 10 boxes of shells shot in it. Needless to say it will be passed on to one of my Grand Sons.

I feel very lucky but 16 Ga shells are getting more expensive and hard to get.

I see zero retail listings for this
are you sure it's available?

I checked at Puglia's about a month ago. Still wasn't released.

It will be only in 2 3/4 in I believe.

Will buy as soon as I can.

I own the DU version.

Needs a 3", would really help to push the 16 gauge again

Am I the only one who thinks this new one is ugly? I'm all about bringing the 16 back though.

About 15 years ago Grandaddy gave me the one he bought in the 1950's and I still use it all of the time. I've used it so much that the bluing is just about gone and it is actually down to bare metal along the edges of the barrel where they slide back into the friend during the recoil cycle.
Over the last couple of years I've used it less and less because of the wear and thinking he wouldn't want me to have anything done to it. Low and behold he asked to see it the other day when he was over here and commented how "we really ought to take it and have it refinished".
