If he goes there then maybe he is thinking of avoiding the tougher SEC and the constant abuse he would be exposed to. Why not go to Clemson and be better than that weak conference, get in the playoff still healthy abd win another NC

Thanks Cam Akers

You should be thanking the staff, why slow play an elite back like Etienne for an out of state guy. Clyde Is good, but I've always felt Etienne was the best back in the state.

I think Brossette will be a fine Senior starter. We'll have it figured out by then.

O had better have some serious bayou magic to convince Guice to stay for his senior year if they whiff on RBs this year. No way will an incoming Freshman RB be ready to hit the field the year after next.

And I don't have that much faith in Brossette either.

Barring injury Guice is gone

We need a sure fire stud in next years class that can come in and play immediately

How many great backs were ready to start their true freshman year? That is an insane assumption to make that we will land another one.

ETA less of a chance of that happening than Guice staying for his senior year.

RB is one of the easiest positions for a freshman to have a huge impact.

Rooting for Brossette to do great after all the adversity he has had to deal with. I think he is going to do great this year.

Eh, Im fine with this. I've never been impressed with Etienne. Would much rather take 3-4 RBs next year.

Only one guy currently at LSU that compares to this.

6' 210 lbs., 4.43 laser timed 40 yard dash, 37.5 inch vertical jump.

Not to mention 244 att. 2933 yards 12.02 yards per carry and 40 touchdowns (Jr. Season)

2,952 yards with 43 touchdowns and 251 receiving yards with three TDs. 4 TD returns on special teams for a total of 50 TDs. (Sr. Season)

I'm very impressed and can't see how you're not....

Come on Bob...

And LSU didn't offer till they "lost" Akers. What's the point of bringing that up?

Yes, Etienne is rated lower than both.

I contend LSU would be a better football team with Etienne than without him. The thought that LSU will sign 3 RB's next year ALL better than Etienne is not realistic. I think Etienne could have been very effective in Canada's offense. A Miles offense...not so much.

Why wonder what an non-LSU fan wanting to do surprise you? Choose between LSU and Clemson? Look at the head coach...would you choose LSU over Clemson? Not me.

I saw you said if they aren't elite then we shouldn't take them. That's not a smart thing to go by in recruiting at all. Morris Claiborne was a 3 star nobody. I'm sure you would have said we shouldn't have offered him because he isn't elite huh? You fill your spots no matter what when it comes down to the end. We need Etienne badly.

Agreed. By his reasoning, they wouldn't have taken Jacob Hester who turned out to be one hell of a player. Hester was only a 3 or maybe even a 2 star coming out of high school.

Hester was a 2 star. If Bob was running the show then Jacob Hester would have never even been here because he's not good enough. Thank God we have our coaching staff running things though.

Who has Juluke pulled so far?

Not a one sumbitch at his position. CEH was already coming to LSU with or without Juluke. Hell, the guy won't even offer Franklin.
