I recently bought the same TV in the 55" an ended up returning it and getting a Samsung 8 series (KS800) which is phenomenal and the picture is stunning.
The LG was just awful, especially in a dark room with a dark scene. It's like the whole picture was lost in the black and when we brightened the picture it had a grayish haze to it.
The only TV I would take over the Samsung 8 or 9 series is the LG OLED, but to me the difference in price is simply too much to justify buying the OLED.

Wow, glad I asked. Thanks for the help. Will look into the OLED65B6P now. Ive always been a samsung person, not sure why im wanting to switch. Or just go back to samsung and get an 8 series

OLED is not the best technology for 4K HDR content. The panel doesn't get bright enough for the colors it needs to produce. I'd buy the Samsung in a heartbeat over the LG. Samsung is coming out with QLED next year if they can still source panels.
