I worked at that particular location all through college.
Depending on what time it went down they probably got away with a couple grand. A hell of a lot better than robbing a convenience store

Now it all makes sense. Enjoy mid-city.
Rolling up my skinny jeans now to go with my flannel shirt...biking to Radio Bar shortly for a PBR.

During high school I used to work at the old video store in the Pizza Hut strip a block over.
Just wanted to fit that into the thread.

Those places aren't across from mid city.
Definitely still considered Mid City up to Lobdell
Bernard Terrace and Ogden Park are certainly Mid City.

This. People in this thread acting like it's better than countless neighborhoods in south BR just bc it has a few restaurants and shops. It's still down the street from the ghetto. And obviously the people in the ghetto are targeting it. I'd much rather live farther away from restaurants and be able to live in safety

It's better than countless neighborhoods in S.BR because I don't have to sit in traffic every day. Even in rush hour, it's like 15 minutes to and from campus and downtown. I rarely have to fight traffic to get groceries or go shopping or go see a movie or go out to dinner. It is simply more convenient than living in Shenandoah or off of Highland, and way less traffic than Southdowns.
Don't forget, this is BR. Nearly every good neighborhood is still within walking distance of Section 8 housing. While some good areas may be closer to the hood than others, no where, I repeat, NO WHERE IS SAFE. There is property crime in every corner of EBR Parish committed by the same demographic: African American males between the ages of 15 and 35.

It's the same housewives that get on Facebook and lose their mind when a halfway house is put together in their neighborhood. People love to complain, especially the uninformed sheltered frick boys on this website
