Vodka nearly all taste the same, it's how your body reacts the following day that's different

Drink a bottle of Taaka, and a week later when you start feeling normal, drink a bottle of premium vodka. That's the difference.

Tastewise, cheap vodka tastes like rubbing alcohol smells. Good vodka will have a subtle grain or potato flavor. At least that's my experience.

The generic versions of Girl Scout cookies are almost the same. They are $1.29 per package, whereas real Girl Scout cookies are like $400 a box?

I think the Girl Scout cookies are 525.00 a box now.

I'm drinking Tito's and tonic. It's good quality at a decent price.

Grate your own from a real wedge and have your life changed.

You'll never go back to the green shite ever again.

I agree. I actually go an extra step and grow my own and then grate it. Sublime.

Cellulose is added to keep the grains from sticking. Some cellulose is made from wood. The only thing on the planet that is set up to properly digest that is a termite.

Your taste buds nailed it.

Great value can goods are shitty. Take the corn for example, it will have pieces of husk in it. Winn Dixie and other store brands are fine.

Nah, Kroger brand toilet paper and paper towels are just fine if you but the right kind.

I get trash bags at Home Depot and they are great.

All of those are 50% to 70% less than brand.

The retailers (Kroger, Winn Dixie, Publix) have entered into agreements with the brands (Heinz, Pepsi) to produce their labeled products (private label).

Why? The branded companies don't want to lose the shelf space to competitors.

The private label is cheaper, but what you buy is a matter of personal preference.

I buy brand peanut butter and pickles. Private label chips and mayo suck IMO for example.

Kirkland signature (Costco brand) is all great. I use their trash bags, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, TP, paper towels, batteries, a jacket, socks and undershirts, dog food, coffee grounds, hummus, protein bars, fresh meat and produce, vodka, gin, and tequila.

The only things I've had from Costco that weren't great was the bourbon and their jeans.

In other words, it's questionable cheese mixed with Metamucil.

Cheese....made pimento cheese today and used Kroger extra sharp cheddar....should have gotten Cabots or another good brand because the generic just isn't the same.

These items I will not buy generic of ever:

Ketchup - only use Heinz
Mayo - Only use Kraft, Hellmans, or Blue Plate
Mustard - frick you all and that yellow shite. Only use Gulden's Brown Mustard or Grey Poupon
Hot Dogs - Hebrew National or GTFO
Cold Cuts

Not food but will not use generic brands of either:
Toilet Paper
Garbage Bags
Laundry Detergent

I do love me some generic cereal and pop-tarts, however.
