Thought you were going to comment on my wife stacking all of the components. No idea why you'd put all of that over asparagus, but I digress.

I think it's just grits with some browned andouille and some sort of gouda-ish cheese. Pour into a baking dish and let cool. Cut out and bake them separated to get browned. We used to batter and pan fry, but just baking a crust on them is better to us.

Well, in the spirit of Christmas, I decided to withhold comment on that. However, your wife obviously went for the look of the plate on that.

Now, even the Christmas spirit is not enough for me to refrain from commenting on Forkbeard's plate with those beans all over the eggs and around that ham. That ketchup is touching things too. Normally, though, I don't mind my yolk running into the grits , but I hate wasting it because it's best on the toast. Those beans on the eggs are going to haunt me all day.
