I do not think the Rams want Saban. I think their first target is Gruden. Plenty of reasons for Gruden to go to LA, plus I believe he wants to coach again.

JustLSUit, you could not be more wrong. The only reason Saban went to Miami is because he got full control. The reason Miami did not take Brees was because the team physician would not sign off on his physical exam. As Skip put it, Nick told him that every time he asked for something, Miami kept giving it to him; so he kept asking & eventually got everything he wanted. Bo Davis, a former Tiger who Saban hired & a friend I knew for several yrs, confirmed it as well. He left the pros because he could not handle the pro players like he could in college.

2 of you Bama guys have posted this. Obviously the Rams fired Fisher first, but the Jags didn't want them to have a further head start on interviews.

It's alarming how many people struggled with this.

Also, wake me up when Miss Terry is seen looking at homes around Jacksonville

Ms Terry can find some much nicer accommodations in areas around Jax than in Tuscaloosa.

Yeah I'm sure he's been smiling like that pretty much all season. Saban was going to get a raise regardless at the end of this season. Going undefeated after winning you 4th NC at a school is going to garner a higher wage.

Give Saban a fraction of ownership of a pro franchise. That is worth more than the car dealerships he's opening in Alabama and Tennessee. The appreciation on the value of NFL teams is skyrocketing.

Does Saban have in his contract to be highest paid coach or is that Stoops again? I know 2 years ago it was Stoops when he signed the new deal.

Probably depends on the percentage.

Saban isn't going to Jacksonville, but that is a job with a talented (but erratic) young QB and a loaded young defense. Someone good will want that gig.

First target is Gruden? If M.Greenberg is making $6.5 M a year on M&M...MIKE & MIKE....what do you think Gruden is pulling down for all his ESPN work on top of MNF? No NFL team can afford him if he was even interested.

If you don't think Kroenke is not willing to pay 7.5 mil you're nuts. He is needing a name and has cash to burn

Gruden makes 6.5 mil at ESPN

Saban ain't going nowhere. He's too chicken

While he is one of the greatest college coaches, he hides behind his wife's skirt and listens to Mrs Terrie on where she wants to go and live.

BTW, side note, whatever became of that assault his daughter was charged with for attacking her roommate? Has that been cleared/handled yet?

I'm sure Saban is chomping at the bit to let Blake Bortles or Jared Goff determine his fate

These are the same geniuses who told you all summer the Jaguars would be contenders.
