“On behalf of our entire program, I want to thank Matt for his many important contributions, on and off the field, this past year,” Narduzzi said. “It was important that Matt remain with our team through the bowl game and he had no hesitation about that. He wants to send this team, and especially our seniors, out the right way. Our search for a new offensive coordinator will fully begin after the bowl. Our primary focus is on a successful completion to the 2016 season.

Watch it be the worst game Pitt has played all year. I'll log off for the day.

I have no problem with this.

He wouldn't have any hand in LSUs game planning.

Please let Canada call a toss dive or an option to the short side of the field for the first two plays.

Could this mean that have actually had Canada as our number 1 for awhile as O said we wouldn't get a OC before the bowl game? I know we all thought it was because of Kiffin and the playoffs, but maybe, just maybe, we had targeted Canada for awhile and this isn't just a knee jerk reaction to please the masses after the Kiffin to FAU news. It sounds like Canada stressed he wanted to remain at Pitt through the bowl game.

Or far more likely, this is complete knee jerk reaction and Canada is coaching the Pitt bowl game because we told him he doesn't start until Jan 1, 2017

I don't either from an LSU standpoint. But I am shocked Pitt wants him to stick around. I think that says a lot about him, because this is very unusual.

Bo stayed on at LSU, Kiffin is staying on at Bama.

It's not unusual, I think you can find enough cases going either way.

Those weren't guys making lateral moves. Yes LSU OC is much better position but you get what I'm saying.

They were going to be head coaches.

Both of those guys got head coaching jobs and stayed to win a potential NC. Not even close to Canada taking the exact same position and staying to coach in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. Not even the same ballpark.

Says how much respect Pitt has for him and respect he has for his players. Great guy it seems.
