Does your family share bath water?

Prepare your anus for the plumbers bill, but since you didn't know how to turn off the house main you might be into that sort of thing.

By my calculations it's about $0.05 per gallon used. 280 gallons last month cost me $14.21. So 1053 should be a little more than $50. I'll take that. The main break is covered in my home warranty so that's good.

Shouldn't the sewage fee stay the same?
Posted on 12/8/16 at 2:21 pm to dualed
it is charged based on usage here in my neck of the woods

I opened the water meter plate up and it was filled with water. Felt around in there and didn't feel any valves.
That's why you need the T-bar. There's nothing worse than mucking around on your hands and knees with a wrench when water is gushing all around you.

Nope, I'm fricked. I used 28 gallons of water last period. It was checked on Nov. 23. I'm at 153 gallons used as of today.
You know that number is in hundreds or thousands of gallons right?
The number is actually in 100 cubic feet if you are in Baton Rouge

Not that uncommon really in a planned subdivision. Same as with the UG XFMR.
Good luck. Call a plumber asap and maybe you won't have to pay too much after hours rate.

Most water works boards have a leak clause where the water is all but free after a certain rate.
