I love Guice and he makes some amazing "I-can't-believe-he-is-still-not-down" plays.

But when he goes down, he goes down hard and awkward.

Usually it is because of his spin move which he can do multiple times during the same run.

While it breaks arm tackles and gets him extra yards, when he is finally tackled, he is usually in mid spin-move during the hit.

His legs go flailing, his head/shoulder/back may hit the ground hard, and seemingly 6 out of ten runs, he is usually getting up off the ground facing the opposite direction he was running.

I find myself wincing when he gets tackled on half his fearless runs.

Yeah, he does seem eratic at times which is why I worry about him fumbling. Like you said he does at times leave himself open for a crushing hit.

Opposed to LF7 just dropping his shoulder and trying to kill the guy hitting him?

I imagine he will be fine as spinning means the weight is off his feet and being hit while at a neutral directional force causes much less impact than trying to increase your force into the opposing force as much as possible which allows greater energy dispersion to be applied to bones, joints, ligaments

Well, I'm glad we got Guice and not LSUFreek in the backfield.

He worries me with those late spins in traffic.. opens himself up to the unseen defender.. But it's part of what makes him great as he has a knack for squeezing every inch out of a run..

No. I worry about him fumbling because of his style though. As he fights for more yardage, he seems to fling his ball carrying arm around.

He has enough wiggle to not take the full hit from tacklers. He'll be fine.

No, playing aggressive keeps you safe. Playing scared will get you injured

Guice makes defenders miss more then anything. He is hard to tackle, so no I'm not worried about him injuring himself.

Barry Sanders was the same way.
I think of it as extreme proprioception.
