Because it says that Rolex "runs great". Mine can't go a year without an issue.

I really have no idea because I don't know how old it is, how much wear and tear it has. It would have to be confirmed that it is real, etc, etc.

Does it bother anybody else that a watch in the Rolex price bracket has "200m=660ft" on the face? Stick to one fricking unit system. I doubt a 3rd grader who hasn't learned unit conversions yet is going to be diving over 200m with a submariner on.

Should be around $15k. At 31k they're nuts.

"Dark tropical dial" looks pretty damn black to me. These early subs can get faded to really cool hues of brown which looks awesome juxtaposed with the blue faded bezel, but why people freak out and pay 5x more for them is beyond me.

Here are three Red Subs recently sold by Hodinkee, whose prices aren't considered great:
