A blend, mostly polyester if I recall. I've been eyeballing smart wool merino base layers.

I have the UA 3.0 and love them, I just want to try something else to see differences.

The Merino blend stuff from Paradox is good. Cost about half as much as the expensive stuff and is the same quality.

I use Terramar merino wool long underwear. Get the silk lined top for better comfort.

Can find a good deal on them usually at campmor.

Yep, I tried because I got a good deal on them and I haven't had any complaints.

I bought some redhead fleece underwear from Bass Pro Shops that are damn nice. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

I've had some Under Armour 2.0 and 3.0 for a couple of years, they keep me pretty damn warm in some really cold temps.

I wanted wool and was about to get some first lite bottoms when I came across ridge merino which has a sale going if anyone is looking. Thanks for the help.

I use UA. It works great for keeping you warm. My only complaint is they don't breath well. If you use a climbing stand you'll be hot as shite by the time you get situated. It traps all the heat in, which is great in some circumstances, but can suck in others.

Under Armor.

The military has some silk weight stuff that's pretty good, too.

I also got a lot of good use out of Duofold back in the day.

Are the under armour 2.0 really tight, do they stretch much? I normaly wear med underwear and shorts, large tops. Should i go with the same size on these?

I don't think any of the Under Armour base layers are "compression" - they're "fitted" which in Under Armour language means snug without the squeeze. All of that stuff will stretch pretty far though.

UA 4.0 Baw
Bought some for this season. Kicking myself for not spending the money sooner. I have not put on a jacket yet this season and have not gotten cold in my waders yet. Upgraded to the insulated breathables this season as well so that may be helping.

Well spent to much time on the Internet and now also have a set of UA 2.0 coming. Just hoping there warm enough and I didn't need the 3s or 4s.

On sale at field and stream online. Everything I bought yesterday was 25% off or more. Got the merino and UA tops and bottoms and 2 sets of wool gloves.

Hunted yesterday in mid 30's with UA Treestand base layer, they call it extreme base now. I didn't get cold at all.
