I would add to that list oline coach.

Maybe. If you watch the line in a game replay, you realize the scheme wasn't that bad. Alabama's defensive line was just far far more powerful and built a wall about a half yard inside the line of scrimmage. It was embarrassing how LSU lost the one on one battles.

Bama's linebackers were blowing up LSU's offensive linemen

It is hard for me to agree that the scheme wasn't bad when Boutte gets fricking pancaked as soon as the ball is snapped. How does a 6'5" 340 person get folded like a napkin?

That's a one on one battle and not scheme related. What is scheme related though is the fact LSU never figured out how to deal with the linebackers. They were all tied up with the DL.

In every play I watched the DL got penetration.

So does DE prove worse since his stats aren't as good?

This guy is 100% corrcect just stop with this bs. If you think Etling sucks then the same goes for fournette.

Fournette worked with what he was given. When the holes were therey he hit them. Fournette didn't turn the ball over or drop any passes (don't think he was thrown to). Etling however is a different story missing wide open receivers is not the same as not rushing for 100 yards against a stingy bama defense. If Etling would have been more efficient we would have gotten points.

Ever played qb before? When the entire line is collapsing every play( he was hit 20 times on his first 25 drop backs) you can't do anything. Same as fournette it's impossible to do anything with no blocking if you're looking at the rush you can't read a defense much less go through progressions. Etling shoulders no more blame than fournette.

As a matter of fact Jr high baw.

Agreed but he had his opportunities and sometimes he did hold the ball too long. I didn't expect him to throw for him to play lights out but where he failed was not taking what he was given that night.

I saw at least 2 plays where this is completely untrue. On one, there was a huge crease on the cutback and a hole to the endzone. He ran up the OT back, then bounced outside, right into where everyone was being blocked. On the replay, it clearly showed a perfect crease that he simply didn't see.

On the other play, it was the opposite, could have bounced outside and made a nice gain. Instead, turned up inside with his head down. Compared to past games, he really had a poor one.

That being said, with the pathetic showing of the OL, no one would have been able to accomplish much during the game. Not even Bo Jackson. But you are incorrect in saying that when the holes were there, he hit them.

The whole offense did.

Etling had about 3 seconds to find a receiver and throw the ball before he was hit. I'm far more interested in what he does a Arkansas than Bama. If he struggles early, maybe it's time to see what Scott can do.

Yea I had a decorated career buddy but I can tell you didnt. Only an idiot would think the line not blocking only counts for running backs and has no effect on the qb he was hit 20 out of his first 25 drop backs I played qb I know you didn't cause you'd know if you looking at the rush you can't see anything els much less read a d or go through progressions. Look believe what you want but you've made zero points and done nothing but act like a child and make idiotic statements about things you have no clue about.

So when the line doesn't block it only effects fournette and etling just has to deal with it I guess? Ok point taken. I was always told can't argue with stupid so not gonna argue.

Did you see the Super Bowl? Cam the best running qb on earth couldn't run or throw because he was under pressure non stop. So I guess the nfl MVP sucks because it doesn't matter if you're pressured you should just umm make a play or somethin... Lol how stupid.
