Did you see harris under pressure vs Wisconsin? He was much worse and the pressure wasn't nearly as bad. I was all for harris getting the job the from his freshman year up until this season. But after watching him for well over 1 full season and watching etling it's just not close to me.

Harris is actually a better QB under pressure than he is when not under pressure. He led the sec in completion % last season when under pressure

Put him in for 1 series to give Etling a chance to breath and calm down. He didnt have it, at least try something new for a series.

I wanted harris to succeed as much as anyone and I believe he's talented. Unfortunately the things he's the worst at are the three things you must have to be a qb toughness decision making and accuracy. And I think ppl either didn't bother to checkout Etlings background or scouting report because the kid has a very good arm and is considered a 4 star prospect. His recruiting grade was a single point lower than Jameis Winston! Most uninformed LSU fans have a predisposed idea of him being a nobody who couldn't cut it at Purdue when the truth is that team was a dumpster fire and all their QBS left. One of em was starting for Florida a couple weeks ago.

Re watching the game right now and there's noway Etling can be blamed for the offense. He made 2 bad throws the entire game and under that pressure it's unreal he didn't play much worse. Had we gone shotgun on 1st down and throw the crossing routes and dumpoffs to fournette underneath wedve been fine. We lost that game because of 1st down play calling.

I did see the Wisconsin game. Harris is on par with Etling. But he has greater tools to improve with. This is the best you will get out of Etling= decent QB play at best. Harris has more mobility and a stronger/better arm.

Harris does have more physical weapons than Etling but he struggles to get the offense on rhythm and accuracy to the point DE was just the better choice against most teams. Against Bama we should have had at least 2 series for BH and practiced that during the 2 weeks.

As I stated many times play action against Bama just waste precious time the QB needs to look downfield. We should have kept LF in the slot and no fullback until we proved we could move the ball passing. We were not going to run until we proved we could pass first.

You are correct that BH has more upside (his mobility is over rated) but he would have to correct his accuracy problems and learn to command a huddle.

It couldn't have hurt to put him in for a series to see how he could do

Bama has a defense that turns your mistakes into points. BH has shown to be underachieving in pocket presence. That pocket was collapsing faster than a 2$ prostitute on a lemon head.
