Peterson would be an absolute home run hire, he's just not mentioned as much as O/Herman/Jimbo because most assume (rightfully so) that there's no chance for him to leave the NW. Along with Saban and Meyer and Harbaugh, he's really a seemingly "unrealistic" candidate. No sense in even discussing him.

But that's from a fan perspective. If I'm LSU, you definitely 100% without question of course make the call to gauge interest, if any, but I doubt there is any on CP's part. That said, if there is any inkling of interest, you throw the bank at him and call it a day on the coaching search.
