Weekend of 11/11. Would love to hit new england but the foliage will be done by then. What's another location that we could do something like that? Maybe rent a cabin in the smokies or hit a coastal town in the mid-atlantic or west coast of florida, something like that. Honestly, open to any suggestions. Let's say budget $2k-$3k. fly out 11/9, fly back 11/13. Only "must have" is that it's not blistering cold.
Thanks
Thanks

Rob gave a good list...minus the Bahamas.
Ashville is amazing, and doesn't get as cold as it does here in New England around that time of year. That would be my vote.

Beautiful mountain town.
Some of the best breweries in the country.
Can tour the Biltmore Estates.
Their restaurant scene is insane.

Ashville, NC is a really fun town right now. Might be able to do that. Or maybe Charleston?

Foliage may not be done in the north east. I was just in Boston and they were saying that it's been a very warm and very dry October and the foliage will start later. My wife and I had to travel into New Hampshire to see a good bit of color.... it's absolutely amazing and a must do

It's definitely lasting longer than normal...leaves are currently still changing.
But in almost a month...I honestly don't think they'll still be around. That's pretty late in the season.

Headed up your way next week and plan to do some of the items suggested in the guide you emailed me. Again, thanks for the info. Think we will be able to catch some of the foliage from next Thursday-Monday?

Happy to do it. Hope you enjoy yourself up here.
You should be good - it's still warmer than normal right now and the leaves are still changing, so by next week I wouldn't imagine that will have changed too much.

Awesome! Really looking forward to it. We have stuff planned out for 2 of the days and are just going to go with the flow the rest of the time there!

Well if you need any advice along the way, hit me up. Weather's been great so hopefully that hangs around for y'all.

Abita was very kind to help me with some advice on my Boston trip.... you can definitely find some foliage, you will just need to rent a car and drive north. My wife and i took a foliage bus tour which was ok; we would have been better off doing it on our own in hindsight.

Yes, Abita has been very helpful to me as well. We have rented a car one day and will be driving north and going to a few small stops somewhere along the way to Portland. Really looking forward to it.

Made that same trip a few years back. Long weekend in Boston (North End, Bell in Hand, Bunker Hill, Paul Revere Trail, USS Constitution, Harbor Tour, etc.), then drove up to Kennybunkport (sp?) for a night in a B&B, then into Portland for two nights at a B&B (drove around the coast, hit a few lighthouses, etc.). Farthest North I had ever been and the scenery was beautiful. The trip was a blast.
