I remember the Amanda Scott and Graham Central station days.

Any better these days than back in late 90's - Early 2000's?

Well there's no Amanda Scott's, Graham Central or Shanahan's anymore so it's either better or worse depending on your definition.

I go to Lafayette fairly often. Corner Bar or Legends is probably your best bet if you're older than 25. I prefer Corner Bar Youngsville over Lafayette and Legends South over downtown/Johnston st. CB Lafayette is a little too douchey IMO.

I remember going to firestone on Johnny cage or Dj Trashy nights.

Made a lot of money there.

Its pretty sad nowadays, the strip is dead and plans are being made demolish and redue the whole area. Laff in the early to mid 2000s was a hell of a party.

Cant even have open containers downtown anymore.

Lafayette was a rocking place when I was at LSU and for a few years after, that is if you liked to go to fun clubs, hear good music, look at hot women and get laid, other than that there wasn't much going on
