At the risk of sounding like Patrick Bateman from American Psycho lol, I wanted to see how many of y'all like Huey Lewis & The News? If so, what's your favorite song from the group?

Solid 80s band, Huey has great, soulful vocals and enjoy the doo-wop background. Huey's also a talented harp player as well.

TRIVIA: in 1990 when Houston was getting set to open a new section of the beltway 8, they let HL&tN perform on the freeway as a free concert.

The next morning they had to shut the new highway down and hose it off because all of the beer spilled from the concert was making vehicles slide all over the place

thats my huey lewis CSB

I celebrate their entire catalog. Would probably go with Heart and Soul or Jacob's Ladder.

An awesome song by Huey that probably isn't very well known unless you're a Disney fan is his song "Once Upon a Time in New York City" from the 1988 Disney animated movie "Oliver and Company".

I loved this movie growing up and since the first time I heard this song way back, I have always thought it is an awesome song. The link to the song is below:

Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

They put out some catchy tunes. They actually sound pretty good live.

great band, musicians, and persona of a decade. Sports was almost impossible to follow up.
