It'll be at Florida. They expect the worst of the storm to be past by game time. If I'm wrong I'll gladly eat crow

So as long as they're not playing during the hurricane it'll be fine right?

It's not about rain, it's about staffing and resources.

USC's stadium was fine by game time.

it's not the actual weather conditions at the time of the game. It's the fact that 10 million people will be displaced from the coast. I'm sure it will be nice and sunny in Gainesville on Saturday. Just like it was the day after Katrina in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

The game may stay in Florida but this reasoning is comical.

It's amazing how many people on an LSU board cannot grasp the concept of evacuations, outages, and staffing shortages a day after a major hurricane.

I'm reading they are predicting 40mph winds on campus the morning of the game.....if that is the case they won't be playing football at 11AM on Saturday that's for sure....now where it will play and what time I have no idea.

You don't understand the resources it will take up if it makes land fall even if it is past UF campus

Public safety may cause the game to be moved. Law enforcement officials will be needed to deal with the storms aftermath.

Much more to this than simply "the worst of the storm to be past".

Unless, of course, it mysteriously stalls somewhere off the east coast of Florida. The storm will impact transportation, though, and the stress on the accommodations and routes along the Atlantic Coast will be high. According to NOAA's NHC, right now 12:40 pm Eastern time) the storm should make landfall along the NC-SC border at 8 am Saturday. If this is true, the storm's effects on the game itself should be minimal (barring any aberrant feeder bands cropping up).

Of course the storm will be past the game site but the damage remains

It will more than likely be played @ UF, but it is smart to go ahead and begin prepping for a contingency in case it can't be played @ UF.
