I was supposed to be going to the beach in Florida for Labor Day. Looks like there may not be a beach to go to

Well, if it stays a storm, the beach will be there. It's just going to be very, very rainy.

on this track, Steinhatchee will take the direct hit.

Clearwater is the best place to be. The Operating Thetans will put up an impenetrable force field.

Do storms have brains or is all this land dodging pure coincidence?

Yes. Storms have highly functioning brains and tremendous IQs.

There's some debate over the current and most recent tracks because they were initialized long before a center was determined. The tracks were using an incorrect center that was located NE of the actual, current center that is further SSW. Because of this, pro mets are guessing that the next models will be shifted a little more westerly; how far west we won't know. I don't THINK it'll be a ton, as they're basing this off of the fact that the center was only slightly further west than originally thought.
Regardless we should have more reliable and accurate tracks since a center has been determined, and they should only get moreso as it develops. I just hope they're somewhat correct and the furthest west this thing goes is the FL/AL border.

That eddy or whatever it is that broke off Gaston and currently sits SW of it looks scarier than that.

Why are the dates in September on the Weather Underground graphic? Also, why does it have it as a tropical storm at times?

Something isn't right about that map...

I think there is also a H pressure that is supposed to be sitting over Texas which will not allow anything to go further west in the Gulf.

Wow. That looks scary.
This is def a busy season. We had a long break but it appears to now be over.

It likely did have those wind speeds but wasn't upgraded for whatever reasons
