Heading there tomorrow on a whim (wife has business and I am tagging along).

Will be based in Zurich, but getting a Rail Pass.

I have four days on my own.

Any recommendations?

If you go to Interlaken, make sure to spend half of the day in Lauterbrunnen. It's a 7 franc train away. One of the most amazing places I've been. It's like a fantasy world there

Yeah, go to Mt. Pilatus

Lucerne is #1 on my list.

It overlooks Lucerne! Perfect. You've got something to do now since two people suggested the same thing.
